The mad rush at the box office on September 15th cleared off as many movies shifted their release date to September 28th due to Salaar’s postponement. The only movie that was left for the September 15th release was Mark Anthony. Now to the shock of everyone, the movie release is now on hold.
Vishal’s Mark Anthony release was stayed by the court. A big production house Lyca Productions has financial issues with Vishal. Lyca moved the court alleging that Vishal owes them Rs 18 crore.
The court ordered Vishal to pay Rs 15 crore to release the movie and it is unlikely that Lyca Productions will be obliged for an off-court settlement. It has to be seen if Vishal could be able to settle the issue within a week.
Meanwhile, all the movies that skipped the September 15th date for the last weekend are Skanda, Pedakapu, and Chandramukhi 2. With Mark Anthony in a tight situation, the festival weekend appears to be wasted.
