Buzz: Salaar Makers New Promise To Distributors

It’s been a week since “Salaar” caused a major heart attack to trade circles by passing the information that the film will not be hitting cinemas as scheduled on September 28th. Reportedly this led to commotion as the release dates of many films got altered and massive planning of other films backfired. So when is Salaar going to be released anyway?

To date, neither about the postponement nor regarding the new date, the makers of this Prabhas starrer opened their mouths literally. But with the film being perceived as the potential Sankranthi 2024 release, where films like Guntur Karam and possibly Ustaad Bhagat Singh already throwing their hats at, the tension in distribution and exhibitor circles is pretty high. However, the makers of the movie are said to have given them clarity.

Some noted distributors revealed on condition of anonymity that Salaar makers told them that the film will be released in 2023 itself, whether it is in November or December. If that is the case, there will be massive unrest again as many small to big films have locked their dates already for these two months. We have to see if Salaar makers will make things official with their new promise, rather than creating more confusion.
