Superstar Rajinikanth said that he wanted to visit TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu lodged in the Rajahmundry Central Jail but could not as he had a family function in Coimbatore.
Rajinikanth gave this reply when the paparazzi asked him if he had plans to visit Chandrababu after spotting him at the Coimbatore airport. This shows the support Naidu is able to get from different quarters in the country.
Even several leaders of the I.N.D.I.A bloc expressed their support to Naidu and termed his arrest as an act of ‘vendetta politics’.
Rajinikanth had a short stint in politics between 2017-2021 after floating his party Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM).
The veteran actor had announced his entry into politics on December 31, 2017 and on July 12, 2021 he dissolved the party. He said that he had no intention of returning to politics.
