National-award-winning actress Alia Bhatt will star in the lead role in Vasan Bala’s next, titled Jigra. The actress will also step into the producer’s shoes for this film. The film’s announcement has been made in an interesting manner, where an anime-style video has been released, giving us insights into the world of the movie.
The announcement video features Alia Bhatt in a bustling city alley, donning a backpack, and the off-screen narration hints at the movie’s core theme. In a heartfelt moment, she tells her brother that since he wears her rakhi, it’s her solemn duty to shield him from any harm, vowing to protect him at all costs. The film promises a cinematic journey filled with courage and sibling love.
Debashish Irengbam is the film’s writer. While further details about the cast of ‘Jigra’ are yet to be revealed, the movie is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, and Somen Mishra. Achint Thakkar is the film’s music director,, and Swapnil S. Sonawane handles the cinematography.
