Vyjayanthi’s Public Note: Are They Warning #Mega157?

From sometime it has been said that Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, #Mega157, which is being directed by Bimbisara fame Vassisht is labelled on the lines of a Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari movie only. Even the director has confirmed this in his interview with a leading English daily, saying that Megastar will play an age-appropriate role in this fantasy adventure drama. And here’s the twist.

For whatever reasons good or bad, today the producer of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari movie has issued a ‘public note’ that they own the character rights, story rights and all other sequel-related rights to the film and its story, and warned filmmakers from copying or extending the film in any way.

At this juncture, it is rumored that Vyjayanthi is talking about #Mega157. Making the statements ‘notice given to public in general and film trade in particular’, ‘full term of copyrights across the universe’ and also ruling out the possibility for others to ‘sequels, remakes, prequels and web series’ must be sending a strong message to someone.

Though characters and screenplay might differ, all the alien movies were also woven around a similar story. We have to see where this warning from original JVAK makers finally lands.
