Finally the much awaited Dasara treat, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Bhagawant Kesari” is here. Like we revealed to our readers ‘exclusively’ earlier, Balayya played the role of a police inspector in the flashback part of the film. Right now internet is going gaga over this sequence for a reason. And here’s why they are calling it #KCPD, Kesari Chichha Pandaga Dawath.
Apparently, Balayya appeared as a ferocious cop with a touch of comedy and excellent gestures. While the whole sequence is a full-on action block, it is the senior star’s impeccable timing of dialogues that are raining whistles inside theatres. Undoubtedly this is the best sequence in recent times for Balayya when it comes to making his fans laugh and feel awe at the same time. And the way director Anil Ravipudi gave elevations to the character by giving some flashbacks to it is also quite goosebump-inducing.
On the whole, the post-interval block elevated the film to a new level through this flashback, and definitely we could say that Balayya is still the best when it comes to doing officer-in-the-uniform roles. And did we say his Telangana slang is absolutely terrific? Surely this particular sequence could be expanded into a new film for sure, and hope some writers-directors are working on it.
