Mixed Talk On ‘Scale Of Bhagwanth Kesari’ Video

Other day a video that showcases the scale of the film, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Bhagawant Kesari” was released, and director Anil Ravipudi explained each and every set piece they had built for the film. From showcasing the jail set to that of the villain’s house, the director explained how each of them was constructed by the art director meticulously. However, the video invited a kind of mixed talk now.

For a film like Bhagwant Kesari, it looks like building all these sets has cost the producers a lot. When there are many real jails out there to shoot just one 15-minute sequence, what is the need to build such a lavish set by spending huge money is what many felt like. At the same time, Bollywood is going abroad to countries like Qatar, France and other places to find rich houses, which costs 1/4th of what Anil and team might have spent on building a house for Arjun Rampal’s character in this Balayya starrer. At one point, the video brought a feeling that unwanted costs are huge in Kesari, which otherwise the producers would have got more profits.

But then, those in the know say that it is truly justified to build a jail set because shooting with Balayya and huge extra-artists will create security issues if they have used any real jail. At the same time, to reccee for villain house abroad, they have very limited time to shoot the film, hence they have decided to build the set rather wasting time in search of a house. Well, all these things are debatable.
