Jigarthanda DoubleX Trailer: Filmmaker & Gangster comes together

Director Karthik Subbaraj’s sequel to ‘Jigarthanda,’ titled ‘Jigarthanda Double X,’ starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah, is set for release during Diwali 2023. The film’s trailer has been released, giving audiences a glimpse of what to expect. The film is in discussions for a long time, and the trailer has now set the stage right for the big-screen experience.

The film is set in 1975 and revolves around a filmmaker and a gangster who collaborate on making a film. In the trailer, it is revealed that Raghava Lawrence plays a gangster who aspires to become the first dark hero in Tamil cinema.

Lawrence recruits SJ Suryah, who is depicted as a filmmaker with prior experience working as an assistant to Satyajit Ray, to direct a film called ‘Pandya.’ The film’s storyline revolves around the twists and turns in the making of this film and its eventual outcome.

The film features music by Santhosh Narayanan and boasts cinematography by S Thirunavukkarasu, with editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali. As the film gears up for its Diwali release, fans are eager to see this sequel to the 2014 hit film ‘Jigarthanda.’
