Other day, two promising small-budgeted Telugu films were released, one being super talented director Tarun Bhaskar’s Keeda Cola and the other one being Satyam Rajesh’s sequel movie Polimeraa 2. Both these films are aimed at different sets of audiences, and it looks like they had a good start with the above-average mouth talk getting spread. Here’s what their First Day Box Office is like.
According to reports, Tarun Bhaskar’s Keeda Cola has done amazingly well in the USA, with nearly ₹ 3.5+ crores collection and with Telugu states adding 2 crores more to it, trade circles revealed that the film collected nearly ₹5.5 crores gross, while people associated with the movie claimed that the Day 1 collection is ₹6 crores gross. Similarly, Polimeraa 2 registered 10-15% occupancy other day in some good centres and the film clocked nearly ₹2.5 crores gross as per trade circles, while the producers stated that the film collected ₹3 crores gross. This is a good start for these two movies, and they are finding similar attention on Saturday as well.
On the other hand, the films need more publicity such that the Monday acid test will be successfully handled. For now, word of mouth is doing its job and the post-release promotions are key to focus. Let’s see how Keeda Cola and Polimeraa 2 folks take it forward from now.
