What Made Rajamouli Change His Cinematographer?

On Monday evening, suddenly rumours started popping up about the iconic next film of legendary director SS Rajamouli which features Superstar Mahesh in the lead. This time, it is not about the shooting date, muhurat event or the casting of the film, but about the technical team, and one of the rumours is a shocker we have to say.

Though Rajamouli started his career with different cinematographers like Hari Anumolou for Student No.1 and Ravindra Babu for Simhadri, he has started to work with KK Senthil Kumar since Sye days. Most of his films, including the iconic movies like Magadheera, Eega Baahubali 1& 2, and the recent RRR got their camera cranked by Senthil only, while movies like Vikramarkudu and Maryada Ramanna had Sarvesh Murari and C Ram Prasad respectively. Now that Mahesh’s film is also a VFX extravaganza, many are wondering why the director hasn’t picked Senthil. Rumours have that PS Vinod might crank the camera.

On the other hand, people on the inside are saying that Rajamouli hasn’t taken any final call about this important technical change as he got more used to Senthil’s style of working, and the two have delivered something that is Oscar worthy. Unless Senthil is not available for any crucial reason, Jakkanna might not change him at all.
