The makers of the highly anticipated film ‘L2: Empuraan,’ starring Mohanlal, have released the first look, revealing a captivating war scene. Serving as a sequel to the blockbuster 2019 political thriller ‘Lucifer,’ directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The first look depicts a post-destruction scene, with Mohanlal standing amidst the aftermath, holding a gun with his back to the viewers. The backdrop features burnt armored trucks, a helicopter, and billowing smoke, creating a tense and dramatic atmosphere. The second part looks like an intense action thriller.
‘L2: Empuraan’ is the second installment of the trilogy, with “Empuraan” translating to ‘more than a King and less than a God.’ The film is not a direct continuation of the ‘Lucifer’ storyline but will provide insight into events that occurred before and after the first film.
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, ‘Empuraan’ boasts a star-studded cast including Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Sachin Khedekar, Alexx O’Nell, and Indrajith Sukumaran.
‘Empuraan’ is set to hit theaters in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
