‘Mangalavaaram’ has been garnering a lot of buzz. In its making video released today, director Ajay Bhupathi of ‘RX 100’ fame says that the audience have never seen something of this sort before.
“We did a number of risky shots. The cinematography is edgy in one of the underwater shots. We went for complicated shots to give the best experience to the audience,” Bhupathi says. Payal Rajput, Krishna Chaitanya and Sritej say that the visuals are extreme. “No thriller in Telugu has got this sort of visual flavour,” the artists add.
The song ‘Ganagana Mogalira’ is a rich tapestry of 400 shots, promising an adrenaline rush. “The theatrical experience will be something else,” the makers say.
Bankrolled by Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma of Mudhra Media Works and A Creative Works, the pan-Indian release stars Payal Rajput and others. Shot in Athreyapuram and set in Kona Seema, the film also features Ajay Ghosh, Nandita Swetha, Krishna Chaitanya and Sritej. With music by Ajaneesh B Loknath of ‘Kantara’ fame, ‘Mangalavaaram’ has a twists-laden second half.
