Forget About Salaar, Dunki Fails To Touch Adipurush

With the arrival of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki on the 21st and Prabhas’ Salaar on the 22nd, many trade analysts have earlier predicted that the South movie might not get major attention at the Bollywood box office. They felt that the newfound superstardom of King Khan after Pathaan and Jawan might pip Salaar on its First Day itself. Really? Here’s the shocker.

Forget about Dunki beating Salaar, the SRK starrer hasn’t even made what a film like Adipurush made with its flop talk on Day 1. Prabhas’ previous film, Adipurush, which suffered from disaster talk right from the arrival of the trailer, has collected nearly ₹130 Cr gross worldwide on its Day 1 across the globe, making nearly ₹45+ crores gross from the Hindi region itself. And now, Dunki is said to have made just ₹38+ crores gross in the Hindi region, with the Hindi version. The film made nearly ₹58+ cr gross from the worldwide box office.

On the other hand, Salaar’s Day 1 figures might touch ₹150+ crores gross from the worldwide box office as the film opened to staggering crowds and mindboggling collections.
