Sankranthi2024: Didn’t Force Anyone To Withdraw, Only Requested -Dil Raju

Apparently, news started spreading that the producers of all the Sankranthi movies including Guntur Kaaram, Hanu Man, Saindhav, Eagle and Naa Saami Ranga have met in Film Chamber to discuss the possibility of a couple of movies from the race. This was to ensure that all the films would get a good number of theatres, but it started spreading that a small film was being forced to quit the race.

Interacting with the media, ace producer Dil Raju who is distributing around 2-3 films that are in the Sankranthi race, has stated that whatever is being spread in the media is not true about the meeting.

“We have explained to every producer the consequences of this five-point clash. We didn’t specifically ask any producer to withdraw from the race. If all the films want to be released at the same festival season, then theatre scarcity will be there. If a couple of films back out, then Film Chamber will ensure them a solo release date later in January or February” said Dil Raju.

However, the producer stated that he has advised each and every producer about the revenues and else, and even specified that he spoke to Hanu-Man director Prashant Varma as well. Raju further added that by December 27th, the producers are to take a final call and lock their dates. Insider comment is that, no producer is ready to walk out from the race.
