Viral: Flight’s Bumpy Landing Due To Storm Gerrit In UK

Storm Gerrit hit the UK and Ireland badly on Wednesday. The storm mainly troubled aviation causing a huge number of cancellations across the countries. The Air traffic restrictions caused major delays at Heathrow Airport, Manchester, and Glasgow.

British Airways also canceled 13 flights because of the weather. Many planes struggled to land in the storm. One Americal Airlines flight was caught on camera during a bumpy landing at Heathrow on December 27.

The Boeing 777 from Los Angeles was seen wobbling from side to side before landing and took a small bounce even after touching the runway once. The video of the bumpy landing now has gone viral showing how strong the winds were in Storm Gerrit.

The video was recorded by Big Jet TV owner Jerry Dyer who sets up livestreams at airports around the world to watch flights coming in.

The storm also damaged many houses in Manchester, disrupted train journeys. No injuries were reported.
