Vaitla Is All Smiles After A Long Time

Srinu Vaitla, famous for his blockbuster movies like “Venky,” “Dhee,” “Dubai Seenu,” and the sensational “Dookudu,” has garnered a substantial fan following over the years. However, post the success of “Dookudu,” his subsequent films faced challenges at the box office. Since the 2018 release of Ravi Teja starrer “Amar Akbar Anthony,” which proved to be a box office disappointment, Srinu Vaitla took a pause from filmmaking.

Today, the filmmaker has found a reason to rejoice as one of his classic films, “Venky,” featuring Ravi Teja, has been re-released, marking its almost 20th anniversary. Audiences are reveling in the nostalgic experience of enjoying this timeless movie, even two decades after its initial release. The response has overwhelmed Srinu Vaitla, bringing a smile to his face and rekindling the joy of filmmaking.

One particular highlight is the train sequence from “Venky,” which has resurfaced on YouTube, capturing the audience’s attention with its comedic brilliance. The comedy scenes have not only gone viral on YouTube but have also become a source of entertainment in theaters. Memes circulating on social media platforms further contribute to the resurgence of the film’s comedy.

After a five-year hiatus, Srinu Vaitla is gearing up for his upcoming project, “Vishwam,” starring Gopichand. Fans, who have long awaited his directorial magic, anticipate the return of the trademark comedy that defines his filmmaking style. As Srinu Vaitla embarks on this new venture, his cult following eagerly anticipates the revival of the laughter-inducing charm that has become synonymous with his directorial prowess.
