Sankranthi 2024: Dil Kush; Theatres Full

Sankranthi is one of the biggest festivals for the Telugu people, and the new releases at the box office add more colour to the festival vibe. The cinema halls in the Telugu states have witnessed an extraordinary surge in footfall, with enthusiastic audiences flooding theaters since yesterday evening. This clearly shows the love that Telugu audiences have for cinema.

With Teja Sajja’s HanuMan receiving a positive response from the paid premieres, more movie lovers are expressing their interest in catching the film in theatres. Already, the film came on the trending charts on BookMyShow with more than sixteen thousand tickets per hour being sold despite the limited availability of screens.

On the other hand, the excitement surrounding Guntur Kaaram is also palpable, with the fervor reaching a new level as the film gains momentum. The midnight benefit shows and the early morning shows together will keep the release day opening number big at the box office.

With school and college holidays already in full swing, the families prefer watching a film for the festival in theatres. With two films already in theatres, the entry of Saindhav and Naa Sami Ranga will further elevate the scenes at the theatres for the next three to four days.

At the same time, the box office collections are anticipated to reach unprecedented levels, particularly in the Godavari districts, as many from Hyderabad travel to their hometowns during the holidays.

While Bollywood releases Merry Christmas and Tamil release Ayalan – Captain Miller are in the mix, they aren’t matching the fervor and opening numbers witnessed by the Telugu releases, highlighting the immense love the Telugu audience has for their films.

All in all, the theatres also witness the festive vibe for the festival Sankranthi.
