Telugu girl Avantika creates sensation in Hollywood

The success stories of some people in the film industry take us by surprise, and here is a similar story of Avantika Vandanapu, who entertained the Telugu audiences as a child artist and is currently creating waves in Hollywood. The 18-year-old has become the talk of the town across social media.

The recent images and videos of Avantika Vandanapu, known for her memorable Fortune Oil ad, have taken social media by storm. The young artist, who made her debut in Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam in 2016, has undergone a remarkable transformation, making it hard for people to believe their eyes.

Born into a Hyderabadi Telugu family in San Francisco, Avantika spent her childhood in Telangana. Trained in Kuchipudi and Bharata Natyam from an early age, she gained recognition by winning the second prize in the reality show Dance India Dance Little Stars on Zee Telugu North America.

Avantika’s acting journey began with Telugu films such as Brahmotsavam, Premam, Rarandoi Veerama Chhamda, Agnyathavasi, and Manamanta. Her Fortune Oil ad, with the famous line ‘Light Ga Ne Untundi,’ remains etched in many people’s memories.

However, the recent buzz around Avantika is due to her Hollywood ventures. She has already acted in the Disney Studios series, including Senior Year in 2022 and the recently released Mean Girls in 2024, a teen musical and comedy film.

Avantika’s portrayal of Karen Shetty in Mean Girls has caught everyone’s attention, prompting discussions on her incredible transformation. The images and videos circulating on social media depict Avantika in a way that might leave viewers initially surprised and then amazed by her evolution.

The netizens and Telugu movie buffs openly express their astonishment at the artist’s remarkable journey, with some even recalling her earlier association with Mahesh Babu and in the Fortune Oil ad.

This is not the first time the Telugu community has created a storm across the globe, and we hope Avantika catches more laurels in her career.
