Talk: Rajamouli Offered Partnership To Superstar!

With Guntur Kaaram done, Superstar Mahesh Babu is moving towards his next project, the magnum opus globe-trotting adventure that will be directed by the legendary SS Rajamouli. The actor went to Germany recently for various reasons including testing a new technology for the film, and also to get his body prepared for the role. Here’s an interesting snippet.

Apparently, when director Rajamouli is worrying about blocking the dates of Mahesh for 1-2 years, Mahesh is said to have assured him of even 3 years of dates, saying that he wants to deliver the best output ever in both of their careers. At a time when his career is at its peak, Mahesh would usually wrap three movies in three years of time, and worried by the kind of time the superstar is investing into the project, Rajamouli is said to have decided to make him a partner in the film rather than paying remuneration, say sources.

Though KL Narayana is the producer, it’s Rajamouli who is said to be taking all the budgets and finance-related calls. Upon Rajamouli’s suggestion, Mahesh is said to have advised him to not pay even a single penny before the film is made, as he don’t want the producer to bear the burden of his paycheck while making a film of this scale. Now, Mahesh will be an official producer of the film as well.
