#Filmfare2024: ’12th Fail’ Out-shined ‘Animal’ For A Reason

Like we reported earlier, super talented director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and star hero Ranbir Kapoor’s magnum opus “Animal” has garnered a staggering 19 nominations at the highly anticipated 69th Filmfare Awards for the year 2024.

However, when the results were announced other day, many were stunned by the fact that the film only received fewer wins actually.

While “Animal” bagged awards in categories like Best Actor, Best Score, Best Sound Design and Best Singer, the film “12th Fail” has bagged main categories like Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Critics), Best Screenplay, Best Editing thus surprising the fans of the movie.

Looking at the box office performance of Animal which surpassed ₹900 crores easily, many thought that even awards were a cakewalk for the film, but still, the film has to give it up to 12th Fail when it comes to awards.

Many feel that the emotional and heart-touching quotient in 12th Fail, based on the real-life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, is what won the film lots of awards.

However, Animal is much larger than life content that deals with the life of a millionaire who happens to be the son of a powerful person who has issues with his father.
