Superstar Rajinikanth recently came up with a film titled Lal Salaam. His daughter directed the film. Rajinikanth did not play a full-length character in the film, but his limited screen presence failed to pull crowds to theatres. Meanwhile, the trade is confused about Rajinikanth’s next film, Vettaiyan.

Lal Salaam has been declared a flop in Tamil, and the fate is no different in Telugu. Rajinikanth’s presence also disappointed the fans. Seven months ago, Jailer successfully ran at the box office in AP and Telangana, filling theaters with large audiences for several weeks. However, Lal Salam, despite Rajinikanth’s presence, failed to woo the audience.

With Lal Salaam failing to generate one crore rupee share, the trade is not positive for Rajinikanth’s next film, Vettaiyan. Despite the star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana, doubts linger about whether distributors will as eagerly buy Vettayan.

The shoot of Vettaiyan is already in progress, with the makers planning to bring the film to theatres for Diwali. The makers are considering Vetagadu as the title for the movie in Telugu.
