One Hero, Huge Struggle, Big Success

The film industry is a place where talent meets opportunity. But, sometimes, the opportunities are scarce, and the right talent is rare. Finding a big break in the film industry is difficult, and even if someone becomes successful, it is again a struggle to survive. Despite all this, some people in films will not accept failure and continue to hustle. Sivakarthikeyan is a classic example of ‘nobody’ to ‘somebody’ in the cinema.

Born on February 17, 1985, in Singampuneri, a small town in Tamil Nadu, Sivakarthikeyan’s journey began as a mimicry artist, performing at local events and gatherings. Despite facing numerous rejections and setbacks in the initial stages of his career, Sivakarthikeyan remained undeterred.

Sivakarthikeyan’s stint as a stand-up comedian on popular comedy shows like ‘Kalakka Povathu Yaaru’ earned him a loyal fan base and caught the attention of filmmakers. He started picking up sidekick roles and hero’s friend characters and slowly brushed up his networking.

In 2012, Sivakarthikeyan debuted as a lead actor and slowly emerged as a bankable star in South cinema. But Sivakarthikeyan’s journey towards stardom wasn’t without its challenges. He faced criticism for his initial choice of roles, with some questioning his ability to carry serious or intense roles.

But, in recent years, Sivakarthikeyan has undergone a remarkable transformation. The other day, the makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s next came up with the poster for a new film, Amaran. Sivakarthikeyan looks like a proper commercial hero material and his transformation is not less than an inspiration.

It’s easy to say that Sivakarthikeyan witnessed growth in a short span but there is a lot of struggle behind the same. There were many struggles, hurdles, insults, patience, determination, discipline and focus.

Since Sivakarthikeyan is self-made, he realizes the importance of helping others. He introduced many directors and also helps other technicians to find a career.
