Remake or Dubbing Dilemma Surrounds ‘Premalu’

Girish AD’s third directorial, Premalu, was declared a massive blockbuster at the box office in Malayalam. The film was released in other states in the Malayalam version. It is running exceptionally well in all the centers. Since the film has Hyderabad as the backdrop and the makers caught the city’s vibe by filming it in different locations, the Telugu audiences also fell for it.

The big question that runs in everyone’s mind is, Will the movie get dubbed or remade in Telugu?

With the film having a Telugu flavor, the filmmakers from Tollywood already initiated their discussions with the producers of Premalu. However, they have received multiple inquiries, and the Tollywood producers seem to be stuck between choosing the option of remake or dubbing.

Starring Naslen and Mamitha in the lead roles, the film is a cute love story that offers fun to the audience. When a girl gets a software job and reaches Hyderabad for work, how her life is shaped forms the film’s story.

Considering the previous track record in Telugu cinema, regarding the remake and dubbing films, it is a safe bet to dub Premalu in Telugu. Hiring professional dubbing artists and having them dub for the film would bring much-needed attention.
