Can Dhanush Join Special League With 50th?

While scoring a blockbuster on these jubilee films is one thing, directing it and scoring a hit is another thing altogether. Here comes an interesting take on talented actor Dhanush’s upcoming movie “Raayan” which happens to be his 50th film.

Recently we have seen how a big superstar like Venkatesh failed to score a massive success with his 75th film, Saindhav, and that happens with most of the superstars for their jubilee films. Even Nani’s 25th movie, V, failed to click. And now that Dhanush is coming up with his 50th movie, many wonder who is writing and directing it.

Surprisingly, Dhanush has taken the mantle of direction and writer again. Earlier, when Dhanush directed films like Pa Paandi, he acted only in a cameo in that film. Later, he wrote screenplays for movies like VIP 2 and Naane Varuvan but hasn’t directed them. That’s what makes Dhanush’s 50 special, but also risky, as big heroes when directing themselves, often fail to look at other characters properly.

Will Dhanush prove that he is different and join the league of special heroes like Ajay Devgan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, who directed themselves and scored blockbusters too? Only time will answer!
