We got used to seeing Pawan Kalyan with state-level security while he was on political tours in Andhra Pradesh. But the situation has changed now and he is going around with central security forces and here is a look into what might be the reason behind these enhanced security measures.
In 2022, when Pawan Kalyan was on the Vizag-Vijayawada tour, he alleged that a DSP rank police officer offended him and later, doubts were raised about Pawan’s security. A similar thing happened when Pawan was on his way to meet Chandrababu at Rajahmundry jail as there were complaints that there was no police protection for Pawan while he protested on the road for being stopped from entering Rajahmundry.
After these incidents, Pawan started to appoint private security and he used to come to AP with privately hired bouncers by his side. However, things have changed after Pawan’s tour to Delhi as he has been accorded central security. 1+1 CRPF security has been accorded to Pawan and they are by his side around the clock.
Not just the central security, even AP state police have enhanced the security of Pawan as a CI-ranked officer and a police constable fleet has been assigned for Pawan’s security. Is this due to the orders from the central or did the state government decide by itself security for Pawan in the wake of the general elections? Whatever might be the reason, Janasena supporters are happy with the beefed-up security for Pawan.
