With Jealousy And Pain, Rajamouli Admits Malayalam Brings Better Actors

Rajamouli joined the celebrations of Premalu success and has praised the movie.

The star director openly admitted that the Malayalam film industry produces better actors. While saying so, Rajamouli frankly mentioned he is saying it but with a bit of ‘jealousy and pain’.

Rajamouli recalled how he thoroughly enjoyed the movie and how he continuously kept laughing. Rajamouli even brought up a few scenes and appreciated the actors of the film, Mamitha Baiju, Naslen, Akhila Bhargavan, and Shyam. Rajamouli opined that Mamitha would become the next heartthrob and even compared her to Girija in Geethanjali and Sai Pallavi.

Rajamouli reiterated that he was not really interested in comedy or rom-com since his favorite genre is action. He reveals he didn’t think much when Karthikeya expressed his wish to bring this movie into Telugu, but upon having the first experience of watching it directly in the theater he admits his mind was blown.

The RRR filmmaker gave the first credit to the writer in Telugu. Rajamouli once again appreciated the Malayalam filmmakers for their care and design for each and every character. Rajamouli concluded his speech by congratulating the director, saying ‘You are keeping up the good name that all your predecessors in Malayalam cinema who have a lot of following among Telugu audiences.
