Another Interesting Crime Thriller From Malayalam Cinema

Published by

Malayalam cinema is doing wonders with back-to-back blockbusters like Premalu, Manjummel Boys, and Brahmayugam recently. The Malayalam cinema is also known for delivering the best crime thriller with gripping drama. Here is yet another crime thriller from them after Garudan, Midnight Murders, and Kannur Squad. The movie we are talking about is ‘Answeshippin Kandethum’ (If you seek something, you will find it).

The movie enthralled the genre-loving audience in theaters and recently the Telugu dubbed version entered the OTT platform Netflix. Anweshippin Kandethum is slow, natural but intriguing with the series of events that happen during the investigation of a murder mystery.

The main lead is superbly talented Tovino-Thomas as SI Anand, who is sincere and stubborn. The policeman investigates the case of a missing girl Lovely only to find out that she was brutally murdered. Anand’s superiors sidetrack the case towards putting an innocent man with a criminal past behind bars, instead of the actual murderer. Anand determines to catch the actual person behind Lovely’s murder and what happens to him is the story of Anweshippin Kandethum.

Well, that’s just the first half of the story and Anand gets another chance to prove himself with another mystery in a different village. How Anand and his team finally nab the killer in the second case makes this crime thriller more interesting and gripping.

Though the first case has no link to the second case, the thrilling narrative keeps the viewers engaged till the end. The director Answeshippin Kandethum is a debutant and yet he flaunts his capability to deliver a good investigative story.
