Buzz: Director Struggling To Go Into Big League

The success of “Karthikeya 2” at the Bollywood box office right after “The Kashmiri Files”, has pushed director Chandoo Mondeti into a big league. Back then, there was also talk that the director was likely to direct Hrithik Roshan for a Geetha Arts movie. But then, he chose Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel instead, joining as a director, for a story written by a newcomer.

Other day with the announcement coming that Chandoo will be starting Karthikeya 3, many are wondering if he is getting limited to Tier-2 heroes in Tollywood. Despite the fact that he has the potential to direct big stars both in Telugu and in Bollywood, many are wondering why he is picking up the same heroes like Nikhil and Naga Chaitanya again and again. So far these are the only star heroes he has directed in his career.

While some see this as some sort of struggle for Chandoo to get into the big league, some insiders say that he’s getting satisfied with the offers at hand and not running after big names in order to make big movies. However, people associated with big stars reveal that the director is not carving out stories that have the canvas to fit the superstars.
