Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s blockbuster film Legend completes 10 years after its release today. The movie will be re-released on the 30th of this month. Today, the team celebrated 10 years occasion.
As revealed by director Boyapati Sreenu, actress Sonal Chauhan who was busy shooting for another movie in Switzerland came all the way from Switzerland to attend the Legend event.
“The film Legend ran for 3 years. The 3 films in our combination- Simha, Legend, and Akhanda broke many records. If a movie becomes a hit, our responsibility will be increased for the next movie. We will work with more responsibility for our next movie. Simha will soon complete 15 years,” said Boyapati who requested everyone to cast their vote in the upcoming elections.
Balakrishna thanked the Telugu audience for making Legend such a big hit. “Legend created many records. The movie ran for 400 days with 4 shows in 2 centers. It was the only South Indian movie that was screened in a theatre with 4 shows for 1116 days. I’m making sure, my movies have a good message as well.
I need to especially thank Jagapathi Babu. He started his career as a hero and started doing different characters, after Legend. I did the glass-breaking scene with a horse in the movie without a dupe. Although Boyapati wanted to use a dupe. I said no and did it on my own. I always treat my every movie as the first one.”
The entire team is hopeful that Legend will do well in its re-release as well.
