Dil Raju’s Sincere Efforts Are Commendable!

The industry circles in Tollywood are surprised by the developments regarding the results of Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s Family Star. Videos of Dil Raju taking feedback from the audience at the theatres have gone viral on social media and show how passionate the ace producer is about his work. Also, it gives an idea of how much Dil Raju loved this middle-class story more than the hero Vijay Devarakonda and director Parasuram. 

At a time when the ground level situation is quite harsh as we could see that Tillu Square tickets are sold way better than Family Star on the ticketing app Book My Show, surely Family Star needs more promotion. On the other hand, the other Telugu dubbed version of Manjummel Boys has started to see housefuls in many places. So, it is a tense time for Family Star and that would explain why Dil Raju is taking things into hands, and taking centre stage in bringing out positive buzz around the film, which is otherwise panned by critics. 

At the box office, Sunday and Monday are crucial for Family Star to generate as much revenue as possible, given the Ugadi festival holiday on Tuesday. As Dil Raju is trying to garner more attention for the film, his commitment becomes worthwhile only when it turns into revenue and we have to see how much this actually helps. 

On the other hand, public talk cannot be stopped or controlled by anyone no matter how hard celebrities promote their movies. If there is strength in the content, it would work big time like Dil Raju’s Balagam, creating records in Nizam and making the whole of the industry support the film. It is sad to see Dil Raju fighting the promotional race all alone, while support from the team would have been great. Hope his efforts bear fruits and that the occupancy inside Family Star theatres increases in the days to come.
