RRR Maintains Suspense On Undi; Here’s Why

A couple of days back, when Raghu Rama Krishna Raju joined Telugu Desam Party, there were several media reports that he is confirmed to contest from the Undi assembly constituency which is a sure-shot seat for the Telugu Desam Party. It was even updated in the Wikipedia page of the Undi assembly constituency that RRR will be the TDP candidate from here in the 2024 election.

But when this topic is brought up in front of Raghu Rama, he maintains strategic suspense and implies that nothing is confirmed or certain for the time being. ‘The news about my candidacy from Undi is just media derivates. We haven’t decided on my constituency yet. Will I contest as an MLA, or will I contest as an MP? This decision will be taken based on the party’s interests.

Though RRR is nearly confirmed to contest from Undi, he looks to be keeping his options open as he revealed his inclination toward contesting as an MP on TDP ticket. It appears that Raghu Rama is still working on last-minute permutations to contest as MP, which is an area of interest for him personally and hence, has maintained uncertainty on the Undi assembly segment. We could get an official communication from the Telugu Desam Party very soon.
