The Need For Mass Cinema Is Making Heroes Wait

Most of the heroes, after scoring a ₹20 crore grosser at the box office, usually look forward to mass films, hoping that it might hit a mighty ₹100 crores mark. But then, in the name of mass movies, some star heroes and Tier-2 protagonists are not finding their next project.

Hero Ram Pothineni used to set up another film even before completing the shooting of his current project. However, this time he made a miscalculation. “Double iSmart,” which was originally set for release in January of this year, has been delayed. Shooting was halted for three months, with only 20% left to complete. Whether Ram will announce another new movie soon, he’s currently unsure. He’s looking for a director who can handle mass cinema, says insiders.

Same is the case with Allu Arjun who is looking forward to complete his work on Pushpa 2. From Atlee to Trivikram and Boyapati, he hasn’t locked any project hoping that after the release of “Pushpa: The Rule”, he will do a bigger mass film. Only Boyapati will be able to deliver such ultra mass for the hero, but then, the story narrated by the director hasn’t yet fully convinced the actor.

The list is big as many other star heroes haven’t picked their next, other than the ongoing one, hoping that they will get the right mass script.
