Dil Raju & Devarakonda Moves On From ‘Family Star’

The wound left by “Family Star” for both, the hero Vijay Devarakonda and the film’s producer Dil Raju will take a longer time to heal for sure. Though the makers expected that director Parasuram would deliver something out of the park with the family-themed drama, but then, it turned out to be a self-goal only. However, Raju and Devarakonda are moving from this. 

Entrusting the job of delivering a big film to a relative newcomer, director Ravi Kiran Kola who made a film titled ‘Raja Varu Rani Varu’ on a shoe-string budget with a digital camera, now Dil Raju and Devarakonda have made the combination official. Though this director was earlier supposed to work in Geetha Arts camp, he moved to Dil Raju’s camp now and the film’s first-ever concept poster will come up on May 9th, on the eve of the hero’s birthday. With Ravi Kiran coming from East Godavari, looks like another rural mass drama is in the offing from him, after Raja Varu Rani Varu. 

While Raju and Devarakonda moved on from “Family Star”, surely the onus of delivering something big lies in the hands of Ravi Kiran Kola, a young director known for his comedy writing. Will he successfully handle the stardom of Vijay D and the grand production values of Dil Raju, and deliver an eluding hit for this combo? Only time has the answer.
