The high hopes at stake in the Hyderabad MP constituency have made it the most keenly watched contest in the upcoming general elections.
BJP MP candidate from the constituency Madhavi Latha is actively campaigning in the constituency not just to break the bastion of the AIMIM but also get a foothold for her party in the Old City.
According to information, she has a bumper offer from the BJP bigwigs. She would be given a Union cabinet berth if she wins and even a defeat will also benefit her. If she loses, she will become appointed as a Governor of any state.
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi won from the constituency four times while his father Salauddin Owaisi registered victory six times, which means the Muslim party has a stronghold on the constituency for the last four decades.
In this background, the BJP had strategically fielded Madhavi Latha to test the waters. Further, Madhavi Latha’s viral video showing her aiming an arrow heated up the politics in the constituency.
Madhavi Latha has been claiming to check the “unlawwful activities” of the MIM. At the same time, she fumed at the MIM for not doing justice to the minorities and Hindus and promised to usher in a peaceful atmosphere in the Old City.
Meanwhile, her supporters are preidciting a meteoric rise in politics for Madhavi Latha on the lines of BJP senior women leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Smriti Irani and Nirmala Sitharaman.
Irrespective of the promises made to her by the BJP leadership, she is continuing to draw public attention during her campaigning in the Old City area.
