The point is that while most of these heroines in the list have a decade to their name, there is one actress who emerged out of nowhere for just one film.

The top 10 list also features other Bollywood heavyweights such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and the late Irrfan Khan. Interestingly, the highest-placed actresses from India’s southern film industries are Samantha Ruth Prabhu at 13, Tamannaah Bhatia at 16, and Nayanthara at 18. The inclusion of Triptii Dimri, who gained immense popularity with last year’s blockbuster “Animal,” at rank 15 is a testament to the power of a single breakout role.

But then, it also highlights another fact that one big blockbuster will outshine the years of hard work put up by others. Even Rashmika Mandanna is in the 78th position while Mrunal Thakur is in the 85th position. Sometimes, grabbing the interest of the audience is what makes an actor/actress popular, and that’s what clicks too in few cases.
