Talk: Kajal Joined The List Of Those Star Heroines

Last week we saw Kajal Aggarwal’s Satyabhama released in theatres and the film’s confusing second half killed the film’s chances to do something big at the box office.

With a dismal performance at the box office, now the senior starlet has joined the list of heroines who tried luck with female-centric films but didn’t score a brownie.

Other than Nayantara’s multiple female-centric films that did big at the box office, many other star heroines failed to click in recent times.

Samantha’s Yashodha, Keerthy Suresh’s Good Luck Sakhi are some of the examples of star heroines taking up female-centric movies, which didn’t work at the box office.

Though these heroines have the likes of Oh Baby and Mahanati to their credit, the directors walked away with all the accolades for those movies.

For the ones that failed, the actresses were promoted a lot but never got the respite. The same happened with Kajal Aggarwal as well now.

On the other hand, many heroines and character artists like Chandini Chowdhary, Payal Rajput, Anasuya and others are also coming up with these female-centric films now and then, but they are hardly working out at the box office, unless it has eccentric concepts like a Mangalavaram.
