Pushpa 2 release postponement is not officially confirmed, but the reports are coming out strong that the change in the date is inevitable. Since there seems to be a lot of work left to be finished, Pushpa 2 is not eyeing any date nearby.
The reports suggest that Pushpa 2 can hit the screens only by December. Well, there are two possible release dates after missing the 15th, and there are pros and cons for those too. Pushpa 2 can be released on either December 5th or December 20th.
December 5th is the best possible date for overseas. With December 4th as the premiere date, it will have a solid 1-week run in the USA before the big releases arrive. Additionally, PLF shows can be planned abundantly.
Meanwhile, December 20th is a good date for India with Christmas and New Year holidays. However, it is a bad date for the USA as three big movies will be releasing (The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, Kraven The Hunter, and Mufasa: The Lion King) and blocking most of the theaters. No possibility of any PLF or IMAX shows. An estimated revenue loss of $5-6M in the USA is expected if this date is chosen.
It has to be seen how the Pushpa 2 makers are planning and meanwhile, the fans are asking to pick an early release date.
