Apparently when John Abraham announced that his next film “Vedaa” is set for a release on August 15th, which happened to be the date of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 back then, many trolled the B-town actor. But it looks like the macho hero’s next is something that should not be taken so lightly.
Carving out something like that of an Indian John Wick kind of action under the direction of talented Nikhil Advani, “Vedaa” happens to be a slick adrenaline-rushing film. Going by the trailer, John’s characterisation, KGF-like elevations and action stunts for young beauty Sharvari and the overall raw and rustic feel of the film, are something that might work at the B&C centres if the film clicks.
On that note, we have the likes of Ram Pothineni’s Double Ismart and other small films releasing in Telugu which are in no way competition to John’s Vedaa or vice versa, but Bollywood has kept Stree 2 as a checkmate to this senior star.
The whole Stree team, including Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, got united again, along with Tamannaah and Varun Dhawan and the horror-comedy is known for its successful performance at the box office. But then, John also might give a good fight.
