SS Rajamouli is one of the finest filmmakers in the nation. He has taken Telugu cinema to an international level. His film RRR also received an Oscar in last year’s Best Original Song category. Meanwhile, the Academy invited him to serve on its jury.
After RRR received an Academy Award, the organizers extended invitations for Ram Charan, NTR, Keeravani, Chandrabose, Senthil, and Sabu Cyril to join their jury as new members. Rajamouli has received an invitation to join the academy in the Directors category, while his wife Rama received an award in the Costume Designer category.
487 new members are invited to be a part of the Academy. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited 487 new members, expanding its total membership to 10,910.
“We’re proud to announce our newly invited members to the Academy!” said the Academy. The new list also includes Indian celebrities Shabana Azmi, Ravi Varman, Hemal Trivedi, Nisha Pahuja and Ritesh Sidhwani.
