Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest films of this year. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Prabhas in the lead role. Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan played the pivotal roles in the film. The film was released on Thursday and has been performing well at the box office.
The film has touched the 500 Cr gross mark at the global box office. The team invested a huge amount into the making of the film. They promoted it aggressively and believed that the film would bring back their investment. A tweet from the film’s production house confirmed that the film collected 500 Cr rupees in just three days.
Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD beats Baahubali 2 record in North America. This sci-fi directed by Nag Ashwin has breached $10 Million (83 Cr), with Sunday advance bookings of $590K+. The numbers are going to be bigger, by the end of Sunday.
The makers are happy with the overwhelming response that they are receiving for all the languages and the movie is doing well in North India as well. The team is planning more promotions in the coming days to pull in crowds to theatres.
With no competition at the box office, Kalki would surely mint more money in the coming weeks. Prabhas is effortlessly creating new records at the box office with back to back films.
