Friday is here and a series of small films are gearing up for release. The only notable film among these small films is Darling, starring Priyadarshe and Nabha Natesh. The trailer generated a decent response from the audience and the Natural Star Nani promoted the movie by attending the pre-release event. Priyadarshe is not someone who can pull audiences right away on the release day.
But if the talk is good, people will definitely watch the film and his “Balagam” proved the same last year. The makers are confident about the film’s content and thus, they have decided to hold paid premieres tonight.
If Darling manages to generate positive talk through premieres, it will generate good occupancies across Telugu states by tomorrow. Moreover, it has been a long time since a good film hit the screens. It has been three weeks since Kalki 2898 AD hit the theatres and almost everyone watched the movie by now.
Last week, Kamal Haasan’s Bharateeyudu 2 was released but ended up as a colossal disaster at the box office. So, it is a good chance for Darling to do good business at the box office. The film deals with the story of a couple, whose wife has a multi-personality disorder.
The trailer was funny and engaging and the movie promises to be an entertaining ride. Nabha Natesh, who took a long break due to health-related issues, is making her comeback with this movie. She is hoping to bounce back hard with Darling.
Anyway, we will know the verdict of the film by the end of the day.
