Chhaava.. Pushpa tho Raavaa?

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 The Rule mania is surprising the trade analysts along with the general audience. The craze for the second part of Pushpa is seen in Overseas pre-sales even before a month of release and the never-before offers being made by the buyers for Telugu states. Needless to say, Pushpa 2 is one hot movie in Northern regions too.

Pushpa 2 is all set for release on December 5th with US premieres on December 4th. However, there is another movie that locked the December 6th release date much earlier than Pushpa 2 did. ‘Chhaava’ is a biopic of Maratha king Sambhaji, played by Vicky Kaushal.

Chattrapati Sivaji’s son Sambhaji Maharaj’s needs no introduction in Maharashtra. The Maratha king’s biopic is being made with hundreds of crores, but it is heard that the makers are now in second thoughts about clashing with Pushpa 2.

Though Chhaava is a pan India movie of a famous king’s biopic, the makers are heard to be hesitating after looking at the craze and immense popularity of Pushpa 2 and it might dent their openings.

The dilemma of Chhaava makers about postponement is valid. Chhaava might show its impact in Maharashtra but Pushpa 2 fever is all over including all South states and Chhaava may not be able to withstand it. Above that, Chhaava might not be able to secure a good number of theaters if clashing with Pushpa 2, be it in India or overseas.

There is a month left for release and it has to be seen if Chhaava makers will announce a new release date far from that of Pushpa 2.
