Tamil Actor Delhi Ganesh Is No More

Veteran actor Delhi Ganesh, who is popular for many of his roles in Tamil cinema, passed away. The actor had been suffering from ill health for quite some time and breathed his last. Delhi Ganesh was 80 and made his debut in 1977. His career spans four decades, during which time he acted with stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Vijaykanth and even acted with the latest generation.

Delhi Ganesh acted in 400 films and played various roles—from villainous characters to supportive friends and fatherly figures—leaving an indelible mark on Tamil cinema.

Delhi Ganesh’s most appearances are in Kamal Haasan’s films. Ganesh is one of the favorite actors for, Kamal Haasan. Together, they crafted several blockbusters. Some of the hit films in their combination are: Naayagan, Apoorva Sodarulu, Michael Madana Kamarajan, Denali, Auvai Sanmukhi, Papanasam and acted many more.

Ganesh worked in the Air Force in Delhi for more than 10 years, which is how he acquired ‘Delhi’ before his name.
