Amaran is one of the recent releases which worked at the box office. The film was released during Diwali and has emerged as a blockbuster in both Telugu and Tamil. As per the latest reports, the film entered the elite 250 Cr club at the box office.
In the span of 12 days, the film grossed over 250 Cr rupees worldwide. There is a high potential that the film will even cross 300 Cr rupees at the box office. Sivakarthikeyan delivered two times higher than his previous Highest film Don which minted 125 crs.
Amaran falls under biographical genre and it narrates the life of a soldier. Fortunately, the trend of army backdrop films always worked in the film industry. We have seen films like Uri, Shershah, Major, Thuppaki and others which clicked at the box office. All of them generated big revenue at the ticket windows. Most of these films rely on carrying the human emotions properly and deliver the relatable factor to the audiences. Amaran also falls under the same. This story of a army man did not disappoint at the box office.
On the other hand, Amaran grossed over $8.4 Million(i.e. ₹70.9 Crores) from Overseas in eleven days. The film did extraordinarily well in almost all countries like Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Gulf.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan. Nithiin and Sudhakar Reddy distributed the film in Telugu. GV Prakash is the music director of the film.
