Laapata Ladies Changes Its Title For Oscars

One of the most beautiful and acclaimed films of the year, Laapata Ladies, was selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars a couple of months ago. The movie was directed by Kiran Rao and produced by her ex-husband, Aamir Khan. Now, the team decided to change the film’s title ahead of its Oscar campaign.

Getting into details, Aamir Khan and his team decided to change the title to “Lost Ladies” to have a better recall value at the international level. Announcing the same on social media with a new poster, the film’s official handle wrote, “Presenting the official poster for Lost Ladies—a glimpse into the wild, heartfelt journey of Phool and Jaya!”

From now on, Laapata Ladies will be called as Lost Ladies on all media platforms. The makers are planning to promote it aggressively and are aiming to win the much-anticipated Academy Award. The Oscars 2025 ceremony will be held on March 3.

Lost Ladies features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Srivastava in the lead roles. Ram Sampath composed the music for this movie.
