The recent releases from the Tamil cinema industry, Kanguva, and Vettaiyan garnered poor to mixed reviews all over. The filmmakers often believe that the reviews impacted the film more than the content and that strong belief now led to a ban on movie reviews outside of theaters.
The public talk about a movie outside the theaters is being recorded by many content creators and YouTube channels. Though it is not a detailed review, the yay or nay from the audience who watched the movie is spreading the actual talk of the movie, according to the makers.
Believing that the recent films Kanguva and Vettaiyan had to go through hard struggle and damage due to these reviews in front of the theaters, the Tamil Producers’ Council issued a ban on ‘reviews at theaters’.
The producers’ council opined that these reviews are putting the movie at risk and leaving it in losses. However, there are mixed opinions on the ban. Many on the internet say that there is no argument about Kanguva’s result and that Vettaiayan too is not a great movie. They say that the ban on reviews and reviewers at theaters does not change anything.
