Wedding festivities have begun in Akkineni and Dhulipala families as Naga Chaitanya and Shobita are set to tie the knot in a few days. The couple will get married on September 4th at Annapurna Studios. The engagement was held in August this year and the Hadli ceremony happened yesterday.
Currently, the entire Telugu social media diaspora is congratulating Shobita and Chaitanya for their new journey. However, back in the past, Shobita was trolled by a section of the Telugu audience. If you are wondering about the incident, here is all you need to know about that controversy.
Sobhita made her entry into Tollywood with the 2018 film Goodachari. At that time, Superstar Mahesh Babu took to Twitter to appreciate the film. He tweeted, “Goodachari is a very impressive attempt at making a slick spy thriller in Telugu. It’s crisp, fast, and gripping. Loved the performances of all the actors. @AdiviSesh shines all through. Congratulations to the entire team!”
Responding to the same, Shobita wrote, “Thank you.” This comment didn’t go well with Mahesh Babu fans as they found it disrespectful. Thus, they trolled Sobhita heavily on social media. Sobhita later responded to this backlash and trolls in an interview. She said, “I was more confused than offended. It is a ‘thank you!’ that trolls took off on. I have immense respect for him, come on! That whole episode was pretty silly.”
“Renowned people from all fields receive unnecessary flak so often. Anonymity is misused and it is a terrible thing to want to break somebody’s spirit,” she added.
Now, all is well between Mahesh fans and Shobita and they have also congratulated the actress on her wedding.
