Pushpa 2 is the movie of the month, and there is no looking back on the film at the box office. Even after the release, there is still debate about the film’s music. Before the release, Thaman claimed to be working on the film, and Sam CS has been credited with additional BGM. However, in an interview with TNE, Sam claims 90 percent credit for the film’s BGM.
Sam CS recently scored appreciation for his work on Kiran Abbavaram’s KA. When he got the chance to work for Pushpa 2, the music composer do not know anything about the script.
“I didn’t read the script before starting work because I joined after the edit. However, I scored music for the entire movie. Although they kept some of Devi Sri Prasad’s music, around 90 percent of the background score is mine, including the climax fight,” revealed Sam.
Sam admitted that the film belongs to Devi Sri Prasad ,but the production needed to wrap things up quickly, so they brought him in.
“Pushpa 2 is a huge project. I scored the film from the audience’s perspective. For Pushpa 2, I used pipe instruments. I created a voice using AI and converted that to an instrumental. It has a fresh sound. Hopefully, people will enjoy the music,” he said.
On the other hand, Devi Sri Prasad is given full credits for the songs and original background score in the movie. Earlier, Sam CS mentioned in a tweet that he worked for climax portions and fight sequences.
