Meenakshi, Sreeleela & Role Switching

Sreeleela is now trending in the film industry for her appearance in the Kissik song from Pushpa 2. Luckily, she got into the project at the last minute and was never an option for the makers. But, the result favored her. She is now a part of the film, creating big records at the box office. Surprisingly, Sreeleela’s latest projects are those for which she was not the first choice.

Sreeleela’s biggest film, Guntur Kaaram, came her way unexpectedly. Initially cast as the second heroine, she secured the lead role after Pooja Hegde exited the project, resulting in Meenakshi Chaudhary stepping into Sreeleela’s original role. Interestingly, the tables have turned again. Meenakshi was initially considered for the female lead in Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame. However, the latest reports confirm that Sreeleela has now clinched the role.

Not just that, Sreeleela’s next release, Robinhood, starring Nithiin, also falls under a similar path. Rashmika was the heroine first, but after Rashmika quit the film, Sreeleela joined.

On the other hand, Sreeleela also has Mass Jathara on hand, which is scheduled for a release on May 9th.
