‘Balagam’ Mogilayya Is No More

Balagam is one of the super hit films in Telugu. The movie cemented Venu Yeldandi’s position as a director and made him Balagam Venu. He introduced a folk singer, Mogilayya, in the film, who shot to fame after the film’s release. Unfortunately, he passed away.

Mogilayya and Komuramma couple have been making a living by telling Burra Katha for many years. They crooned the climax song in the film Balagam. Soon after the film was released, Mogilayya received huge appreciation, and then, it was also revealed that he had severe health issues. Today, he breathed his last.

Mogilayya, who has been suffering from kidney-related problems and various other health problems for the past few years, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Warangal.

Since he did not have money for treatment, team Balagam supported him financially. The Congress government in Telangana also provided him with financial assistance.
